2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA Performance Specs, Interior and Feature Highlights
First things first, you may note that the new 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA appears larger than its predecessor. The added inches serve a purpose for function as well as vanity, tacking on more headroom and rear seat legroom. The cargo area of the new GLA luxury crossover is now 3.9 inches longer, making for a total cargo volume of up to 15.4 cubic feet behind the rear seats. Perhaps one of the most anticipated updates this year has been the addition of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system. Other impressive interior features include dual 10.25-inch instrument cluster displays, a Head-Up Display, genuine wood accents, interior ambient lighting and so much more.
This year the GLA-Class also gets a new powerplant. The new model year vehicle trades up to the same engine featured on the GLB, raising output to 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. If you’re looking to produce more goosebumps, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA AMG® model now features a new 2.0-liter Inline-4 turbocharged engine good for 302 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Mercedes-Benz swaps out last year’s seven-speed automatic for a new eight-speed automatic. All 4MATIC® variants of the Mercedes-Benz GLA will also now offer the Off-Road Engineering Package as standard.
